Reality check

Wallet access is not a normal website login

Many wallet scams borrow the language of account login, verification, or urgent support. A self-custody wallet is different: recovery words and private keys are the keys to the funds, not a password reset field.

If a page says it can unlock, synchronize, validate, or secure your wallet by entering recovery words, treat that as a serious warning sign.

If a website asks for recovery words, the safest move is to leave before curiosity gets expensive.

Checklist

Before interacting with any Cake Wallet page

Verify the source from a trusted bookmark or the publisher's official channels. Avoid search ads for urgent wallet tasks. Check spelling carefully, especially around hyphens, extra words, and lookalike domains.

Do not install wallet files from random mirrors, direct messages, comment sections, or short links. When in doubt, stop and verify through official sources.

Support

What support should never request

No legitimate support agent needs your seed phrase, private keys, wallet password, or full recovery words. Screenshots can also leak balances, addresses, or transaction context, so share only what is necessary.
